Hebert`s Boudin and Cracklins in Breaux Bridge

Boudin was not the best I've had. I prefer The Best Stop's. However the cracklins we're some of the best I've ever had.

While driving back home from a job site in Lafayette I stopped at this small shop to try some of their boudin and some of their crackling. that was a few months ago now I can't drive by that exit without stopping and going in and getting some boudin every time I come back from Lafayette. This is by far the best boudin that I've had in my life I can't say enough good words about the service and the boudin from this location. They always have a smile on her face and happy to help. My favorite thing is if you're in a hurry and you can't get out and enjoy their small shop there is a drive-thru. Highly recommend stopping by and trying out their boudin, cracklin or other specialty novelty items that they have.

I was going to give this place another try this year, but they were closed up before closing time. So I will comment on my last visit here. The cracklins has a distinct taste of old and stale fryer oil that needed to be changed long beforehand! And they weren’t freshly cooked, they were from the heat lamp bunch. Boudin wasn’t as flavorful and we had hoped it would be. Was just underwhelming to say the least. Fresh cracklins are one highlight and must have traveling into Louisiana from another state. This time, I’m sad. But less sad than last time :/

What a cool little stop off I10 in Louisiana. The prices are high, but the foods are excellent.

Great service. Lovely people. Good food hometown service. Another down home authentic eatery. Grab and go. Crawfish pie is the truth.

Small but friendly service

Wow...Is THIS Place Set Up, or what!? My boyfriend and I are new to the local ways of Louisiana cooking and traditions. We tried some Boullya Balls (spelling?? Lol) and THEY are the BOMB! This establishment has a wide variety of anything you'll need for Crab Boil, etc. From Stock pots, to Seasoning! And lots inbetween. They are located at 2926 Grand Point Road. Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Stop reading this - Go and enjoy!

The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I tried the cracklins and pepper jack boudin balls. The boudin balls was great just needed to be warmed up but unfortunately there was no microwave. The cracklins were okay.

Delicious boudin several types cracklins all in a nice setting even have a drive-thru window if you don't want to go in right off the highway. Excellent food for your pork heart attack lunch great treat every now and then

Ask for the Tasso po-boy "mama's way" - she is the reason this quick stop meal option is one of my favorite meals in Louisiana. She deserves to have her creation named after her!

Cracklins were much too salty and were fried for too long. Couldn't even eat them. Boudin was good. It's a very simple place, small, with a quick, efficient drive through.

If you need some cracklins and boudin... This is your place. Ready to eat or frozen for travel. And the pepper-jack boudin ball is the best

I go there for the cracklings. The other products are good. The main location in Port Allen is a restaurant and sales market. We slice their smoked chicken patties and share one. They will stuff you. They are also good for seasoning dishes, like you would use Tasso. Good in greens or other vegetable dishes.

Great boudin and cracklins. My favorite is the smoked boudin. The cracklins are fantastic.

The heberts we went to on our way to georgia at beaux bridge was awesome. We stopped on the way back to texas at the location before the beaux bridge exit..i cant remember what it was.. It was terrible. We spent 30 dollars on cracklins that my husband was going to bring to his coworkers that were literally inedible. So burnt you couldnt eat them. It was such a huge disappointment from our previous experience on the way there. I dont recommend wasting your time going to any location except beaux bridge.

Excellent original boudin, boudin balls, and cracklins. I appreciate the cracklins being hot, fresh, and seasoned well. I also tried the crawfish boudin and boudin balls, and those were excellent too. I will be back.

I'm addicted to the pepper jack boudin balls. I tried the other shop down the street, and Herbert's is way better for boudin balls. The cracklins can be a little too crunchy for me. I also stock up on the Herbert's seasoning when I come through. That stuff is delicious.

Great service. Great food. Very impressive . You girls have great food,but an even greater attitude that draws my husband and I in Henderson. The guy working in Breaux Bridge should be here with you girls, he's very helpful, pleasant, and has a great since of humor, but the woman (big woman) eating cracklings behind the counter has a nasty attitude so I can not go back to that location unless he is working she is unsanitary and stays on her telephone very rude.

This place was grate!!! Service was excellent, very friendly!!! We have a 7yo, who asks a lot of questions and shaunty answered all her questions, was very patient and carrying. Food is excellent. Will definitely be a repeat customers
